Forests are under attack in Kenya and elsewhere. We are doing what we can in teaching why trees must be protected. As we do this it is also imperative that we listen to the knowledge and wisdom among the people at the grassroot. They have in fact protected the forests for centuries. Together we can make a difference fighting illegal logging and deforestation.
We are running seedling nurseries on the savanna and in the mountains above. What we can grow depends on the soil and the availability of water.
On the savanna we grow plants that will survive on less water (like aloe vera and moringa), and in the mountains we grow seedlings that require more water (like makademia and fruit trees).
